Access is limited, but your reward is 10 miles of uninterrupted, uncrowded beach with wonderful water and sand. Limited parking at beach access points located at various points along Gulf of Mexico Drive – watch for signs. Longboat Key's beaches are located the length of Gulf of Mexico Drive, here are some stand out access points.
Whitney Beach Access located on the north end of Longboat Key- 100 N. Shore Rd. Limited parking available. From Broadway St. go north on Firehouse Rd. to deadend at N. Shore Rd. and take a left to the beach access and parking.
Beach Access 4805 next to Bleu Claire Condominiums, just north of the Hilton Hotel.
Hilton Beach Access - a little know secret; the Hilton will allow you to park in their parking lot along the fence on the north side of the property.
Beach Access 3495 has limited parking with Bay access across the street.
