The Children’s Garden at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens
The Children’s Rainforest Garden at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is a tropical jungle environment where kids can freely discover, explore, and play. It features a 12’ waterfall, swinging bridges, field research stations to inspire curious minds, caves for exploring, and an adventure trail in addition to an Amazon village with an amphitheater.
There is a 100-year-old Banyan tree that is the centerpiece of the Garden.
Single entry/exit assures that no child can enter or exit without parental supervision.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens features an outdoor butterfly garden, bromeliad garden, bamboo garden, epiphyte garden, fern garden, a mangrove walkway, and a breathtaking tropical conservatory display garden with more than 6,000 orchids!
This Sarasota Bay bayfront property in an open-air and under-glass botanical garden featuring more than 20,000 colorful and exotic plants. The overall gardens and greenhouses at Selby occupy approximately 11 acres while the entire campus setting is comprised of 16 acres. There is also an on-site cafe and gift shop.
Closed on Christmas Day.
Downtown Sarasota campus Admission: Members free, Adults $25, Ages 5-17 $10, Age 4 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased onsite and online.
Construction Parking Updates
As construction continues on Phase One of Selby’s Master Plan, on-site guest parking at the Downtown Sarasota campus is now complimentary valet only. Off-site parking is available in two satellite lots within a short walk on weekdays and in four lots—including Senior Friendship Center, with trolley service—on weekends.
