Plays, Concerts, and Backstage Tours

TheatreZone presents concerts, plays, and musicals on stage from December through May at the intimate 250-seat G&L Theatre on the Community School of Naples campus. Each year TheatreZone presents a holiday concert, four stage performances, and two musical concerts by internationally known groups.

The 2019-2020 TheatreZone Season concerts present the world’s only all Liverpool-born Beatles tribute band, The Mersey Beatles (Feb. 18, 2020), Judy & Liza at the Palladium in the Florida premiere celebrating the music of Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli’s concert at London’s famed Palladium Theatre (Feb. 20, 2020), and Beyond the Lights: Discovering Sammy Davis Jr., the Florida premiere of this one-man show staring and developed by Aaron Reeder (Jan. 14, 2020).

Founder and Artistic Director Mark Danni has a goal to feature at least a couple of nationally known celebrities each season. Seasoned Broadway veterans and celebrities including Anna McArdle, of the original Annie, Donna Mckechnie from the original A Chorus Line, and Georgia Engel, who played Georgette on the Mary Tyler Moore show, have all graced the stage at TheatreZone.

TheatreZone Off-site Cabaret Series

Enjoy a delicious pre-concert reception with wine, prosecco, beer, hors d’oeuvres, and other refreshments prior to a presentation of Broadway show tunes and other favorite standards from TheatreZone actors during their “Broadway & Happy Hour” cabaret series. Each performance features different songs and singers.

TheatreZone’s off-site cabaret series takes place on Thursday, January 17, Wednesday, February 13, Thursday, March 14, and Thursday, May 2, 2019. The receptions are 4:00 to 4:30 p.m., the performances are 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The cabaret series is presented in the auditorium at Moorings Park with refreshments served in their library. The cabaret series is open to the public with admission tickets priced at $35.

2019 Broadway & Happy Hour Concert Series Dates: January 17, February 13, March 14 and May 2, 2019. Call or visit the box office for tickets and additional information.

TheatreZone 2019-2020 Season

TheatreZone’s 15th season evening performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. Matinees at 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Sales to new season ticket buyers will begin on March 25, 2019 and sales of tickets for individual shows will begin on April 1, 2019.

Leonard Bernstein’s Tony Award-winning musical is set in the summer of 1935 and tells the story of sister Ruth and Eileen, who take on the Big Apple, pursuing their dreams and finding love.

Tonya & Nancy: A Rock Opera – Feb. 6-16, 2020
Florida premiere of this comedic original musical!

Gypsy – March 5-15, 2020
Set all across America in the 1920s, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born, Arthur Laurents’ landmark show explores the world of two-bit show business with brass, humor, heart, and sophistication.

I Love My Wife – April 16-26, 2020
Cy Coleman’s hysterical musical satire of the 1970’s sexual revolution.

TheatreZone’s 15th season evening performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. Matinees at 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Individual and group tickets to TheatreZone’s onsite performances as well as their off-site cabaret series can be purchased by phone, at the Box Office, or online here.

The on-site Box Office is open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays from late November or early December 2019 through May 30, 2020.
