The Naples Pier is a Top Attraction

The Naples Pier sustained substantial damage from Hurricane Ian and will need to be rebuilt. There is only 100 feet of the Pier that is open to the public. The restrooms are open. Concessions are closed.

The Naples Municipal Beach & Fishing Pier is one of the most popular attractions in Naples, Florida. Built in 1888 as a freight and passenger dock, it continues to be a community landmark. The beach and the pier that extends 1,000 feet into the Gulf of Mexico is a favorite location for family activity and one of the best places to view a magnificent Florida sunset.

Naples Pier Fishing and Wildlife

Fishing from the Pier is prohibited until further notice. You can fish from the Pier without a license as it has a bulk fishing license that covers all users.

No fishing on Sundays, no fishing from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. all other days of the week – this fishing ban expires June 1, 2023.

Even non-fishing enthusiasts can enjoy the pier. It’s a great spot to watch wildlife. Pelicans and other birds are usually present at the pier, looking for scraps left over by the fishermen. Dolphins, stingrays and many other varieties of fish can also be seen from the pier.
