Families will discover a full day of fun activities and rarely-seen species like the giant anteater and Florida panther.  You’ll also find favorites such as lions, bears, cheetahs, and parrots at this nationally accredited zoo and historic botanical garden.

Naples Zoo is also one of only a few zoos in the USA that house honey badgers! With a focus on conservation and education, families will not only see amazing animals but also learn steps they can take to save the species in the wild.

Hand-feed Giraffe at the Naples Zoo

Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is much more than a walk-through zoo. Parents and kids can get up close with giraffe to hand-feed them lettuce and cruise on a guided tour through islands of monkeys, lemurs, and apes.

There are also engaging Meet the Keeper talks, feature wildlife shows in the  Safari Canyon Open-Air Theater, and an alligator training and feeding demonstration.

Experience South America at the Naples Zoo! The Naples Zoo’s captivating new habitats will transport you to the grasslands and rainforests of South America, where you’ll encounter the Tik-Tok famous capybaras, a 400-pound Baird’s tapir, a loud southern screamer, a beautiful toucan, red-footed tortoises, six banded armadillo, coatimundi, and the macaws!

Safari Squad Programs for kids age 3-5

Safari Squad family programs are for children ages 3 – 5 years old. The Safari Squad program is offered from 10 – 11 am one Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday each month and feature a short lesson, arts and crafts, a storybook reading, and play stations! Registration is required.

Wild Encounters Behind-the-Scenes Guided Experiences

Get closer to the Naples Zoo animals through behind-the-scenes guided experiences called Wild Encounters. There are five 1-hour tours to choose from: Making Enrichment for the Honey Badgers, Watching Athena the Florida Panther in a Training Session, Feeding the Red-Ruffed Lemurs, Taking Home a Personalized Giraffe Painting, or Feeding an Anteater. Each Wild Encounter is held on a specific day and time. Space and age restrictions apply.

There are special events throughout the year. Zoo membership is also available.

Naples Zoo Hours

The Naples Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (last entry at 3:30 p.m.). Please note: inclement weather may cause an unannounced closing for the safety of guests and animals.

Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the last entry at 2 p.m.
