Free outdoor carillon concert at the entrance of the Venice Performing Arts Center. Concert will take place, rain or shine. Bring your own chair for up-close seating or listen from the comfort of your car in the adjoining parking lot. The Andrew W. Crawford Memorial carillon is a 7-ton, 48-bell cast bronze musical instrument with a history that goes back 500 years to Flanders. It is one of only three mobile carillons in the western hemisphere and gives audiences an opportunity to easily view the instrument and its performer. The Florida Carillon Festival is sponsored by the Venice Carillon Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, which invites performers from around the world to play the four carillons in Florida.
