The greater Fort Myers area, including Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, and Captiva Islands, are recovering and rebuilding from Hurricane Ian in September 2022 and Hurricane Milton in October 2024.
Some of the public beach park facilities throughout Lee County may be closed. Park amenities, including restroom facilities, piers, and walkovers, may not be repaired or replaced at this time.
