Fun and Exciting Horseback Riding on the Beach!
All the guides/trainers and horses at BeachHorses.com are experienced, providing a safe and slow ride along the beach at Palma Sola Bay in Bradenton, Florida.
In addition to riding along the palm-lined shore, you can ride out into the calm salt water where your horse will actually swim!
While in the water riders have an opportunity to try Horse Surfing – stand on the back of the horse (you must weigh less than 150 lbs.).

The first half of the ride is a 1-mile walk on the beach. The second half is in the water. Time spent on the beach and in the water is dependent on a variety of factors including how many people are riding, weather delays, and individual needs of the riders.
The entire ride varies between 45 minutes to 1 hour.

No Prior Horseback Riding Experience Required
Horses are available for all levels of riders. Less experienced riders needn’t worry; horses will be on a lead with a guide/trainer the entire time.
Novice or experienced riders (folks with more than 50 hours of formal riding instruction) are allowed to trot and canter on the beach and in the water.
For the safety of everyone including the horses, all horses and riders will be with a guide/trainer in the water.
You must weigh less than 300 lbs. to ride the horses at BeachHorses.com.
Plan to wear sandals or flip-flops, and swimwear, as you will get wet from head-to-toe. Bring a towel and change of dry clothing for after your ride.
Riders under the age of 16 are required to wear a helmet, which will be provided. Helmets are also provided for any rider who wants to wear protective headgear.
Life jackets are mandatory for anyone under the age of 18 and are optional for adults. The life jacket will slip on easily over your swimwear and once again they are provided as part of your beach horseback riding adventure.
