Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens

Families who live or vacation in the Naples and Marco Island area will discover rarely seen species like Malagasy Fosas or a Komodo dragon. While you may have seen the viral video about the African honey badgers, you can now see them in person at the Naples Zoo; these fierce creatures can only be seen at four zoos in the nation! You’ll also find favorites like lions, cheetahs, and parrots in the tropical jungle of this historic botanical garden. With glass walls exhibit partitions you will get wildly close to tigers, bears, leopards, panthers, lions, and more. Read the Naples Zoo featured blog article here!

Hand-feed Giraffe at the Naples Zoo!

Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is much more than a walk-thru zoo. Parents and kids can cruise on a guided tour through islands of monkeys, lemurs, and apes. Experience engaging keeper talks feature wildlife shows in the Safari Canyon Open-Air Theater; alligator feedings, or Jungle Larry™ and Safari Jane’s™ Snakes Alive! featuring venomous snakes. It’s wild fun from apes to zebras. Consistently voted “Best Place to Take Kids” by Gulfshore Life and Naples Daily News.

Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens Traveling Art Exhibit

Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea is an art exhibit that features 11 larger-than-life marine animal sculptures made entirely of plastic found along beaches. Zoo guests are invited to get up close to view the sculptures, which range from an 11-foot-long shark and 16-foot-long parrot fish to an 8-foot-wide octopus and an 11-foot-tall polar bear.  The exhibit will be on display from November 17, 2018, through April 21, 2019, and is free with paid Zoo admission.

Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea was founded by Angela Haseltine Pozzi, an artist, and teacher from Oregon. Her passion for protecting the oceans led her to create this project with the goal of educating a global audience about plastic pollution in oceans and waterways and spark positive changes in consumer habitats. Since the project began in 2010, thousands of pounds of trash have been removed from beaches. That trash was then processed into more than 70 works of art, which travel the country to raise awareness about the plight of the world’s oceans and marine life.
