Things to do in Ave Maria, Florida
Ave Maria is a short drive (approximately 1 hour) from Fort Myers. When you arrive at the town center, stop by the New Home & Welcome Center for a town map. Visit the award-winning Oratory architecture and the first major U.S. Catholic university built in 40 years; Ave Maria University. On the facade of the Ave Maria Oratory Church building is a 30-foot high Annunciation sculpture depicting the Archangel Gabriel greeting Mary with the words “Ave Marie.”

Free 45-minute trolley tours of Ave Maria depart from the Town Center every 45 minutes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday. Reservations are encouraged but not required and can be made by calling 239.352.3903.
Artisan Market – Shop a variety of homemade merchandise from local artisans in the Town Center each Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Enjoy listening to a variety of live musical entertainment in Ave Maria’s Town Center each Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. Bands rotate weekly.
See Florida Wildlife with Orange Jeep Tours
Be sure to take an Orange Jeep Tour to experience “Old Florida” nature and wildlife.
