Captiva and Sanibel Watersports and Activities
YOLO Watersports experienced staff can take you on a guided Waverunner excursion, parasailing adventure, or banana boat ride while on vacation in the Fort Myres, Florida area.
Waverunners, motor scooters, golf carts, ScootCoupes, bikes, stand-up paddleboards, beach chairs, and umbrellas – you’ll find them all available for rent at YOLO Watersports on Captiva Island, Florida. All motorized equipment is environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient.
Banana Boat rides are a blast! Each banana boat accommodates 6 riders per boat (max 600 lbs. total). Each ride lasts a total of 10-12 minutes with a maximum speed is 15 mph, no intentional flipping. Riders must be able to swim, be at least 6 years of age, and a minimum of 48″ tall.
Scoot Coupes are a great way to explore Sanibel and Captiva Island! Scoot Coupes are fun open topped three-wheeled vehicles that are easy to operate, street legal, and gas powered so you can take them anywhere a normal car can go! Using a motorcycle handlebar for steering (no stick shift or clutch), they create a more moped-like experience, but with disc brakes, roll bars, and safety belts. They can accommodate 2 adults (note: children younger than 6 years of age are not allowed).
Flyboarding – Experience the incredible sensation of being “flying” as you’re suspended high over Captiva’s water with a water-propelled jet pack! You alone will control your turning and elevation from 2’ to 30’ based on your comfort level. Travel effortlessly in any direction and at any height and speed that you desire. Each Fly-board session includes a few minutes of instruction and training, and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Safe and fun for all ages – minimum weight requirement is 75 lbs. Reservations are recommended.
Captiva Island Parasailing
Get a birds eye view of Captiva Island from high above the Gulf of Mexico on a safe, fun, and memorable parasailing adventure! YOLO offers single, double, or triple parasailing rides. Bring along your camera and capture the view. If you don’t have a waterproof camera, you can rent a GoPro HD 4 camera or purchase a LifeProof iPhone case from YOLO’s retail store before you depart on your parasailing ride. Picture packages are also available and include 50-80 HD photos of you parasailing on a 2GB SD card. On-board observers can ride for a fee based on availability. The minimum age requirement to parasail is 6 years of age.
Waverunner Rentals and Tours
Waverunner rentals are available by the half hour and full hour. The allowed riding area is approximately 1 ½ miles along Captiva’s coast and up to 2 miles off-shore. All Waverunner drivers must be at least 16 years of age* with a photo ID that includes birth date. Each WaveRunner accommodates three people (up to 450 lbs.).
Waverunner excursion tours to Cayo Costa Island – Each excursion departs at 10 a.m. and is approximately 2 hours. The experienced guide leads riders past North Captiva Island, and up to and around Cayo Costa Island with a return back to the beach on Captiva Island. Keep an eye out for the possibility of seeing native Florida wildlife including dolphins, manatees, and more. The tour may include an opportunity to shell or walk on the beach on Cayo Costa Island.
