The event will feature workshops from Uke 66 and Them Uke Boys, and a concert featuring local Uke groups. The festival is a joint effort of two local Florida’s Ukulele clubs, Aloha Ukuleles from Lakewood Ranch and Sand Fleas Ukuleles from Venice. Other Ukulele groups from Manatee and Sarasota counties will participate as well. The concert will open with a medley honoring Vietnam Veterans and close with a finale of Irish favorites in honor of the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day.
Partial proceeds and appeals from the event will benefit the Veterans of Foreign Wars scholarship fund. Visit website for additional information.
