Island Jazz presents free Sunday afternoon concerts in the Boler Garden at BIG ARTS. Made up mostly of Island residents, Island Jazz features Harry Reiner on trumpet, Tom Cooley on drums, Louis Pradt on clarinet and flute, Babe VanDeVelde on tenor sax, and Sally-Jane Heit on vocals. Frequent guest players include many of the best jazz musicians in southwest Florida playing all styles of music from jazz standards and Dixieland to bop, pop, and more. All performances begin at 3 p.m. Bring a beach chair, as seating is limited. Even if it rains, the show goes on; it simply moves into the covered Gainer Verandah. Call or visit website for more information.
