Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources and Friends of Sarasota County Parks hosts the Sandy Claws Beach Run on Siesta Beach. Register by Nov. 17, 2023 for best prices and runner swag. After the races, stay for music, food, raffle prizes and a holiday costume contest. Registration will be open until 7:45 a.m., the morning of the race, Dec. 9, 2023. Proceeds benefit “Summer in the Parks” Adopt-A-Camper scholarship fund.
