Join Longboat Key Turtle Walk led by Mote Matine Laboratory & Aquarium-trained volunteers participating in Mote’s Sea Turtle Patrol. Volunteers will scout for signs of turtle nesting as part of an effort to conserve sea turtles. Learn about sea turtle life history and other local wildlife and natural habitats. All ages welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult. Walk may be up to 1 ½ miles in the sand. Walks begin at 6:45 a.m. every Saturday in June and July, 2025. Reservations are not required. Participants should meet at the public beach access at 4795 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, FL. Parking is onsite. Walks take place rain or shine, cancelled if thunderstorms.
