Located south of Sarasota at Nokomis, Mission Valley Golf and Country Club was established in 1967. Managed by Pope Golf, it continues to provide challenging play on the championship 18-hole par 72 course. Originally designed by David Wallace, the greens and bunkers were reshaped by Ted McAnis in 1997 with more updating of the fairway bunkers in 2003. The beautiful Clubhouse was expanded and refurbished in 2006. As well as the golf course and pro shop, Mission Valley offers tennis and dining/events under Head Chef Brian Moormann and his team.

Another Pope Golf associate is Esplanade Golf and Country Club, a distinctive gated community covering 600 beautifully landscaped acres at Lakewood Ranch. Named after Manatee County, Manatee Golf Club in West Bradenton serves residents and visitors in the island communities of Longboat Key, Holmes Beach, and Anna Maria Island. This public golf course is one of the best in the area with Tif-Eagle greens installed in 2013. After a session on the grass tee practice range, golfers will be well-prepared to face the challenging 6,712 yard course which has a course rating of 70.6 and a slope rating of 123. At the end of the course the snack bar provides a relaxing atmosphere with cold craft beers and snacks in the indoor and outdoor seating areas.
