Eating at The Whale Restaurant in Fort Myers Beach

Those with a whale-sized appetite will certainly appreciate the generous portions of delicious seafood on the full menu.

Start with the Raw Bar selection, where oysters and fresh peel-and-eat shrimp seems to taste particularly good in the local sea air. Seared tuna with chilled rice noodles and other unique offerings show that the menu is never boring and conventional.

Crab legs, seafood baskets, and shrimp scampi flatbread are just some of the mouthwatering snacks and full entrees to suit every appetite. Soups and salads are available for lunch or smaller appetites along with yummy fish tacos and delectable Maine lobster rolls. Flatbreads are particularly popular, topped with spinach and artichoke, pizza-style margarita, shrimp, or BBQ chicken which includes house-made Texas BBQ sauce.

Old favorites such as grouper, coconut shrimp, and fish and chips all take their place on the comprehensive menu with a choice of fried, blackened, broiled, or crunchy coatings. If you prefer meat, the barbecue meats at the Beached Whale are legendary – including succulent drop-off-the-bone Danish baby back ribs. Meaty Whale Wings are offered in mild, medium, BBQ, jerk, or teriyaki spices to get exactly the flavor you crave. And if you want a whopper, how about the Whale Burgers, made from hand-pressed Angus beef.
