A Taste of Europe at Burns Court Café & Wine Bar

You don’t have to travel to Europe to enjoy full-bodied Italian coffee and delectable French pastries. Burns Court Café brings a splash of Europe to the heart of Sarasota’s Historic Burns Court District. Set in an area of historic charm and character, the lively café serves a mouth-watering selection of pastries, quiche, omelets, crepes, and drinks. Dine indoors or al fresco beneath shady umbrellas and trees in a European sidewalk cafe setting, which adds a European ambiance to the delectable fare.

French Café Favorites

Anyone who has visited Paris will recall the array of pastries, croissants, and savory treats that are the mainstay of any French café. Sarasota residents will find the same sensory experience at the Burns Court Café, which serves daily quiches alongside French croque-monsieur – delicious hot toasties filled with ham and melted cheese.

The lunch menu has a range of hot pressed paninis including traditional Hot Reuben and BLT or more cosmopolitan fillings such as the Hot Caprese (ciabatta filled with mozzarella, tomato, basil, olive tapenade, and pesto). Roast Beef London Port features marble rye bread oozing with melted provolone, mixed greens, tomato, roast beef, and Dijon mustard, or try the Hot Genoa Salami for a delicious blend of texture and flavor. Salads, soups, and quiches make up the remainder of the appetizing lunch menu.

In the evening, the full menu is available, including sandwiches, quiches, soups, salads, healthy hummus platters, fish dishes, crepes, and a selection of tarts and homemade desserts. Indoor and outdoor tables are available, and the outdoor tables are pet-friendly.

On the beverages side of the menu, real Italian coffee is served with pride to those who appreciate the rich flavor and aroma of authentic Italian roasted coffee. Sip an espresso, cappuccino, or latte and treat yourself to one of the delicious pastries, muffins, or crepes on offer.
