Venetian Waterway Park in Venice

Walk or rent a bike and enjoy scenic views on this paved pedestrian trail that follows along five miles on each side of the Intracoastal Waterway to either Caspersen Beach Park or Shamrock Park and Nature Center in Venice, Florida.

The Venetian Waterway Park trail also connects to The Legacy Trail, which is a paved rail-to-trail northward through the beautiful Oscar Scherer State Park creating almost 23 miles of uninterrupted trails. Motor vehicles are prohibited.

Venetian Waterway Park Amenities

Venetian Waterway Park amenities include benches, trash and recycling receptacles, restrooms, dog clean-up stations, picnic shelters, and grills.

Parking is available behind the Venice Theatre, near Gulf Coast Community Foundation, on Airport Avenue, Marina Park and Boat Ramp, Historic Venice Train Depot and Shamrock Park.

Trail end points: Intracoastal Waterway (both north & south sides) and north of E. Venice Ave (both east and west sides).

Smoking cigarettes and filtered cigars will be prohibited at all Sarasota County beaches and parks beginning October 1, 2023.
