The Conservancy of Southwest Florida Nature Center is currently undergoing many renovations and the planned opening is now early 2012. Once an actual date is determined, it will be posted on their website. Once open, access to various activities and features throughout the Conservancy Nature Center campus will be phased in throughout 2012, leading up to a grand reopening celebration tentatively scheduled for November, 2012.
This 21-acre nature preserve is located in the heart of Naples. The discovery center features more than 150 species of local wildlife and a 500-gallon touch tank. Kayak rentals and guided tours on the Gordon River are available. Take a guided tour on Rookery Bay aboard the Good Fortune pontoon boat. Reservations required.
