Turner Beach on the southern tip of Captiva Island is popular for fishing from the beach and rock jetty, shelling and admiring beautiful gulf sunsets. Swimmers should exercise caution when swimming near the bridge because of swift currents and strong undertow. Swimming further down the beach is a safer option. Bars and restaurants are close by or pack food and refreshments for a picnic on the beach. There are no restroom facilities on the Sanibel side of the beach.
Turner Beach is located on Sanibel-Captiva Road, on both the Sanibel and Captiva side of the Blind Pass Bridge.
