Sadler's Wells offers the very best of international and UK dance, from traditional to tango. This theater is in Islington. Take the underground train to Angel (Northern Line) and after a short walk you'll arrive at the stylish building that opened in 1998. Six buildings carrying the Sadler's Wells name have stood at this site, going back 250 years!

The Royal Opera House is in one corner of Covent Garden. It, too, has a long history, with the current building opening in December 1999. Two previous buildings dated back to 1732, when it opened primarily as a playhouse. Now you can see opera or ballet in two performing spaces plus the historic main auditorium.
